Divided
Divided was an action RPG from Lonely Wizard Studios. It has a strong emphasis on story and fun group combat. I was the Game & Level designer and worked on the game design, level design, game scripting, created the environements, and help craft the the overal development.

Design and Development

Heavily modified a RPG toolkit from the Unreal Market Place through Blueprint to fit the game’s needs.

Designed all characters' mechanics & gameplay

Built all levels & environments within Unreal to reflect various places of the story.

Designed and scripted unique abilities for each character. A system for NPCs to use abilities based off of timers, health percentage, and commands from the player for allies.

Designed and scripted ally combat system to follow the player around until within enemy range

Designed and scripted an attack combo system, a stager system where characters can be pushed back and briefly paralyzed, and a knock down system where no new action can be done for several seconds

Contributed to building the plot, story, characters, and overall world of the game

Found and created lists of necessary assets that could either be purchased, or build by the environment modelers

Supervised modelers to make sure all aspects of the game were unified.

Imported all assets and characters into Unreal

Created Materials for all asset’s textures in Unreal Material Editor, and applied them where needed

Imported and set up animations in Persona
Game Synopsis
Divided revolves around Marten, an orphan of war and heroes. He and his comrades are tasked as a strike force to be a preliminary group for the armies of the human nation, Angevin. They fight an ongoing war against the Pretum Alliance; a collection of nations with various races that are considered to be savage demons.
What makes Divided different from most games is that it breaks expectations of what normally happens in a typical fantasy game plot. At first a story of hope and exploration is offered, but as time goes on the world and characters start to become greyer, choices are harder to make, and the people you began your journey with have become stained reflections of their original selves.
Furthermore, much of the world of Divided reflects various mythologies from our world; ranging from eastern deities to shamanistic warriors, and so much more.
